The Symposium will be held in Como, the main city on the homonymous lake. Lake Como (Lago di Como in Italian), a renowned destination since Roman times, is a top romantic travel destination and a great spot for photography. Lake Como, one of Italy's most popular lakes and also its deepest, is shaped like an inverted “Y” giving it long shores. Lake Como is surrounded by mountains and hills where beautiful villas and resort villages are lying. Hiking paths, boat trips, and water activities make any stay in the area unforgettable. Lake Como is located in the northern Italian lake district between Milan and the Swiss border. Its southern tip is about 40 km north of Milan.
